Tomorrow its finally time to head home to Sweden to celebrate Christmas with my family.
I’m really looking forward to go home to the cold north. Christmas is the only time of the year i get to spend time with all the family.
My dear friend did a very nice movie from the Stromp awards. Thank you so much Rui!
Yesterday I received the prestigious Stromp award. Receiving this award is such an honour. An evening i shall remember as long as i live.
Athletes that were awarded in 2014
I did not make the journey here alone; numerous people have supported me along the way.
I want to thank my GREAT team – Sporting Tri-Team, Sporting Clube de Portugal, My friends, family, coach and all my sponsors.
Receiving my Stromp
My Stromp 🙂
It took me 6 hours and 20 minutes to ride 156km with 2500m elevation…
It was by far the hardest bike workout i have completed. I have actually never ridden that far before.
Despite the emotional ups and downs that hit me during the ride, some rain, wind and cold temperatures i enjoyed it.
We passed through amazing landscape and had great support from Andre who drove with us all the way making sure we had enough water and food..
The gang and our support car LEXUS
The training insensitivity is increasing and we are starting to put some load. The sensations have not been the best so far, but i know i have to be patient.
Sporting TV and Sporting Triathlon Team
On Monday it was bank holiday in Portugal so the day was spent doing what i like the most, training. The day started with a 5km swim, followed by 60km bike and ended with a run session (hills).
We had a special visitor during our workout, Sporting TV. (Sporting’s own TV channel)
The gang with the nice reporter Patricia
The reporter joined us during all the three segments, swim, bike and run. The objective was for her to try and understand more about triathlon. I think she liked it as much as we did. The program will be broadcasted on Thursday at 23h15 on Sporting TV.
Warming up for the hill session
Christmas came early this year! Today i got some really nice training equipment from my sponsor Spiuk. Thank you so much Spiuk! Can’t wait to use all my new gifts…
Gifts from Spiuk
Vacation is over and i have started to prepare the coming season.
It’s always hard to re-start to train after some time off. You get used to the “normal” life style pretty fast.
I have not set the race objectives for 2015, but i will be focusing on the long distance. I have done the sprint and Olympic distance for quite some years now and i want a new challenge.
Season 2014 was probably my best season so far and today i got the wonderful news that i will receive the prestigious Stromp Award from my club, Sporting Clube de Portugal.
The prize ceremony will take place on the 18th of December in Lisbon.
I got this award back in 2011, but this time it means so much more to me.
I’m a very happy girl!
